Free Summer Commissions for Friends & Family

To keep in practice with my Traditional Illustration techniques, I offered to create free commissions for my friends and family.

The first was a "thank you" to my Aunt Sherry for sending me a full set of Prismacolor colored pencils as a belated graduation gift:
Aunt Sherry - Jack Sparrow
Captain Jack Sparrow, savvy?

My buddy Chris from my internship last summer is a huge Britney Spears fan. I made him this acrylic painting finished with colored pencil to display in his new place in Long Beach:
Christopher T - Britney Spears

My friend Crystal from my Beginning Crafts class wanted a drawing of someone from TruBlood, so I created one for her of Sookie:

Morrissey, My Muse

Morrissey is not only one of my favorite singers, but also one of my biggest sources of inspiration.

Two years ago, in my Beginning Painting class, I created a portrait of him using oil paint on canvas:

This summer, as part of my free commissions, I created an acrylic painting of Morrissey finished with a charcoal drawing for my friend Evelyn from my Marketing classes.
