Sterling Silver Bat Bracelet

My assignment for my Jewelry Independent Study class was to incorporate precision sawing techniques into a piece of jewelry.

I've always admired Tiffany & Co. jewelry, and wanted to make a high class silver bracelet - with some "Sam" flair! Naturally, I chose a bat shape instead of the traditional heart or geometric charm.

For additional texture contrast, I sandblasted the entire surface of my bat.

I fashioned my own chain but used a purchased clasp. However, my teacher was right: I ought to create a clasp for myself to further enhance the bracelet's beauty.
